The essence of Rioja in contemporary wines

Our wines are crafted from the vineyard

Baron de Ley’s distinctive winemaking philosophy begins with our unique asset: over 600 hectares of vines located in different Rioja sub-regions. This is our guarantee of top quality and authentic wines, farmed and crafted from the vineyard and marked by the terroir.

Manual harvest and selection

In addition to hand-harvesting, our hand-sorting facility combines manual selection of the bunches with mechanical selection of the berries, up to a total capacity of 1.8 million kg of grape every vintage, an impressive milestone in Rioja.

Specialisation
in Reservas and Grandes Reservas

Barón de Ley was born with the ambition to become a new benchmark of premium quality Rioja, specialising in Reservas and Grandes Reservas which respect Rioja’s sign of identity: long oak barrel ageing. We guarantee the best quality by annually renewing our cask stock.

Innovation, curiosity and non-conformism

Creativity and non-conformism are the signs of identity of our winemakers. We lead production and product innovation projects, experimenting with winery technology, farming new and less common grape varieties and indigenous fermenting yeasts, all of which provide our wines with a distinctive Barón de Ley personality.
